Location: Burton upon Trent
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting for a Management Accountant / Commercial Accountant to join an established finance team in Burton upon Trent.

The role will have a strong focus on costing, commercial analysis and business partnering, working closely with the Cost Accountant and wider business to support key projects and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse management accounts and financial information
• Support costing activities and provide analysis on costs and margins
• Work closely with the Cost Accountant to provide additional support
• Business partner with operational and commercial stakeholders
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Provide financial insight to support business decisions
• Support key commercial and operational projects
• Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and processes
• Contribute to a collaborative and well-rounded finance team

Requirements

• Strong costing experience is essential
• Good understanding of management accounts and financial analysis
• Commercially minded with strong business partnering skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
• Strong Excel skills
• Proactive, analytical and able to work collaboratively
• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification is desirable but not essential
• Candidates qualified by experience or currently studying towards a qualification will also be considered
